Lifelong Learning is an innovative concept in faith formation. Lifelong Learning is structured different from traditional Christian formation programs, whereby it provides an opportunity for all parish members to grow in their faith alongside their children. It provides adult presentations, family activities, children's age level learning groups and social gatherings - all in one setting - on fourteen Sundays throughout the year. The many parishes throughout the country which have a Lifelong Learning faith program have experienced effective growth in the spiritual maturity of their parish member of all ages.
The sessions generally begin with the celebration of Sunday Mass followed by an adult small group discussion or a family activity based on topics of interest. This is followed by an hour of more formal instruction for the children. While they engage in their age-level groups, adults participate in an hour of formation on a variety of religious topics.
